That person ... is Robert Hunter. And now it is finally time to execute the plan.
Review
For fans who love Chris Carter, I am sure like me you could not wait to have him back. He does not disappoint.
This is a sequel to his book An Evil Mind. This is the first sequel Chris has done, although you can read this as a stand alone, I would personally suggest that you read An Evil Mind first. I say this purely because it will give you feel of how sick and twisted Lucien actually is! In my eyes the devil personified. What a character, lets just hope there is no one out there like that in real life.
Although this book was missing a lot of the gore I normally expect from Chirs' books it was put to us as readers in a different way. Mind games being one! I didn't know what to expect when picking this up, you never know what direction Chris is going to take you.
Normally it is all blood and gore, yet the mind games I mentioned comes in to play. You find yourself being drawn in and playing along. If you are like me, getting it wrong!
I enjoyed this book, and for me it was nice to see Garcia stepping up and out of the shadowing role to kick some arse. It was nice see Hunter have some flaws, it shows that yes, hw is amazing at what he does, however he is only human.
Chris keeps you guessing right until the end and the short sharp chapters do nothing but draw you in. Makes you want to keep reading. Gripping you in and not letting you leave until you have finished!
