Spring Blogger Evening 2019 - Simon and Schuster

Last week I had the pleasure of going to the Spring Blogger Evening 2019 at Simon and Schuster. Books and the City.

I have been up to Simon and Schuster a few times and every time I am blown away with how amazing everyone is. So lovely and they welcome you with open arms. I cannot fault their hospitality, you will never meet a better bunch of people.

This year was the 2nd one that I have been to and after last year I knew it was going to be good, at first I didn't think I would be able to attend, however circumstances change.

Not even laryngitis was going to stop me going to this event, and I am SO glad it didn't. The author line up was amazing, below are the amazing authors who were there and the links to pre order their new books (I have chosen Amazon, however please do not take offence and purchase whereever you like!)

Milly Johnson

Ioan Grey

Alice Peterson

Rachel Hore

Claire Frost

Not to mentioned the lovely - who weren't on the invite and left us all guessing:

  • Juliet Ashton - Coming December 2019!!!
The event started how all good things start, drinks and food. SJ and her team always put on a good spread and a good natter - In my case this was with Louise Candlish and Juliet Ashton. What lovely ladies, I know at the last event I didn't get change to speak to them much but so glad I got time here.

When the authors sat down to do their readings, I couldn't have been more excited to hear what they all have come up with now. The first 5 authors are ones that I have read a lot and they have left a lasting impression on me. What better way to spend an evening than to have them read to you from their new book. The other authors were a bonus, of course they all have something new coming out soon so was great to have a chance to have a chat to them about their new books.

I could not be anymore in awe of what these wonderful authors do, as well as all the S&S team. I cannot wait for many more to come. Every time I go I get to speak to some of my favourite authors who are so down to earth it is like having a natter with your best friend.

Thank you for a wonderful evening and letting me meet some amazing bloggers and fantastic authors!

Let it Snow - Sue Moorcroft

Buy Here I have to be honest and say I am only 70% through this book, so I will review up to where I have read. When I started this book I was a bit unsure where it was going or what it was doing. However it was soon explained as the characters and the plot started to thicken.  I am really enjoying getting to know the characters and going through their life with them. Highs and low. Of course as always some are more liked than others, but I'll let you make your own judgement on that!  Sue really does describe the atmosphere and the locations so that you can see them and imagine you are there too. It's making me want to wrap up warm and go and play in the snow.  I am excited to read the rest of the book and hopefully my predictions are correct.... Or not!
