The Little Wedding Island - Jaimie Admans

Bonnie Haskett loves everything about weddings. She loves her job at a national bridal magazine and even has a deposit down on her dream dress. The only problem? She doesn’t have a fiancĂ©!

So when Bonnie is sent to Edelweiss Island, known as ‘The Little Wedding Island’, it’s a dream come true. She’s heard the rumours, every wedding that takes place in the tiny chapel ends in a happy-ever-after.

But there’s a catch! Investigating the story, Bonnie needs to pose as a blushing bride – and the only man up for posing as her groom is her arch rival (and far too handsome for his own good) journalist Rohan Carter…

My Review
I have never read this author before and I cannot to find and read more of her books. It started off and I was a bit unsure where it was going, it sounded like a nice upbeat title and thought it would be perfect with getting married next year to read.
However, the more this book went on the more invested in it I got, the island sounds perfect and I would love to go and visit myself. Bonnie seems like such a nice lady with such high hopes and aspirations, both in work and to get married one day, you hope she gets all she deserves. When she is on the boat she meets a very handsome man, little does she know what is going to come to her and who he actually is.
Lets just say that it is a wonderful partnership, without giving too much away. They try to uncover what is actually going on on the island, as it all seems to good to be true. Their relationship turns out to be something on a deeper level where history comes to play a part.
The imagery in this book is great. It allows you to picture exactly what is going on and when the island looks like. Very clear images were represented and imaginable.
This book was just a delight to read, fills you with  a warm fuzzy feeling. I cannot wait to discover more books by this author.

The Slow Lane Walkers Club - Rosa Temple

Buy Here This is my first book by Rosa Temple and it won't be my last.  I was a bit unsure when I started it. However I loved it.  Its not often I finish a book and end up hugging it because I loved it so much.  The characters were great, Hazel is amazing. She reminds me of an old family friend who never gives up no matter what. Daniel is a kind lad who I think is slightly misunderstood when he arrives back in Cornwall.  Their relationship is fantastic, one you can only dream about having with your grandmas friend.  This book is one big giant hug and it's exactly what I needed at the time of reading. Once you start you dont want to stop.  Best book of the year so far!

Mimic - Daniel Cole

Buy Here Having previously read Daniel coles books I was looking forward to this stand alone novel. It packs a punch right from the word go and it doesn't let up throughout the book. So many murders and so many what ifs.... And what an earths?!  I liked Chambers and Winter as detectives and their relationship that they had. They never lost charm even if there was a 7 year break in the book for them. They picked up exactly where they left off.  The book was very clever in the way that the murders took part. It was all a work if art. And don't worry if you are like me and aren't sure what they are there are paintings in the book to help you incase you cannot visual it. Great read.

Shattered Bones - Kate Bendelow

Listen here  This is my first Kate Bendelow book.  I have to say I throughly enjoyed it, the reader of this audiobook did a great job  and it really made the book for me. The voices were amazing and really allowed you to fine fine tiune the characters.  The book itself is the 2nd in a series, which you only noticed in a few parts. I was actually giggling in some parts of the story, it was nice to have some laughs in a crime book.  I really liked the story and the whose done it narrative. There were twists and turns galore. Really enjoyable and will hunting out book number one in the series.
